pixinsight slowing down
« on: 2017 October 20 12:54:08 »
Hi,
I have an issue with Pi sometimes slowing down.
having just a 32 gb image open and going back and forth after applying a simple pixelmath expression takes seconds and the massage "please wait writing swapping files" appears.
On the contrary applying the same process to 70 images through an image container takes about 1.2 sec per image
applying a simple convolution takes also several seconds and the screen darken.

Closing PI and restarting the istance usually solve the problem.

I have 32GB and only 5 are used (about 900mb by PI)
CPU also run very low (clock and percentage).
 thank you,
Andrea

Hi Andrea,

This problem cannot be reproduced. It has not been reported before on any platform, either.

A "32 GB image" is indeed, how to say, a good "bunch" of data. I think you meant to say "32 MB image" ?

Hi Juan, yes, I meant 32 Mb :-)
(I also forgot to say that The pc is running W10)
I will try to collect more data.

Thank you,
Andrea
