discrepancy possible
« on: 2017 October 07 10:28:04 »

Noticed while practicing:

Having processed a number of light files as far as ImageCalibration,
and checked the resulting _cc files with ImageInspection/Blink,
I find some bad looking files I removed from that folder with "move to another folder" in Blink
Now, when I try to do other operations, such as StarAlignment
The files loaded are the correct ones, the deleted files are not indicated,
BUT when I try to run the process, it reports failure to load a file.
The file that failed to load and that's not listed in process window, is one that was deleted in Blink.

Shut down/restart PixInsight
re-run StarAlignment works OK. Don't remember previous efforts asking me for reference image.
Now ImageIntegration with the aligned/etc lights works fine.

Odd. Possible minor flaw

Cheers!
James

For what it's worth, I always run my light images through the Blink process BEFORE I do anything to them.  Try that and see if that makes a difference for you.

Thank you, Rich.

What you said is true, get bad frames out of the way as soon as possible.

My attention was drawn just a short time ago, to a script named "SubframeSelector". This appears to be even better than the Blink process. I'm running it now and have no comments yet, but my hopes are high. I saw it before but thought it had to do with sections of frames, "subframes" rather than sub-par frames. Still learning things every day :-)
