ScreenTransferFunction window not visible

OK, there is something obvious I am missing. My Screentransferfunction window is not visible. I had to reinstall PI on a second laptop. When I tried to open the STF it was not visible. Does it assume it is on a second monitor, which I don't have? Is there a preference I am missing? Help would be appreciated.

You might need to reset PI. Here is a posting explaining. This is a complete reset so all preferences will be lost I believe.
