Removing chromatic aberration?

Is there a process, script, or procedure for removing chromatic aberration in a combined RGB image?

You could apply a star mask and blur the chrominance of the stars: disable the first few layers in one of the multiscale process, e.g. MultiscaleMedianTransform, and set the Target to "Chrominance (restore CIE Y)".  This will even up the colour of the stars.

Cheers,
Rick.

One other thing you can try is right after integration separate the RGB channels with the ChannelExtraction tool. Then using StarAlignment set the green channel image as the reference and apply StarAlignment to the extracted red and blue channel images individually. Then use the ChannelCombination tool to recombine and continue processing. Do this before any processing for the best results.

Using the distortion correction in StarAlignment will help to correct for CA that appears different through out the image.

U might want to look into InterChannel Curves script with a proper mask....
