When the view snaps to maximize, often inadvertently when I adjust positions, the X out recesses up into the menu ribbons, and I also cant access any preview selection options at the foot of the RealTimePreview window.  This may be peculiar to my monitor setup, but it is infuriating to have to close all out all open images and reload  the Core. I'm sure there's an easy fix to this (keystroke maybe) , but I cant find it.  I'm a Neub,  if you can't tell.  thanks for any help, Wally

When the X recesses under the menu/toolbar, a scrollbar should appear on the right side of the workspace. You should be able to scroll the X back into view.

Hi Wally,

If you 'lose' the ability to resize windows for any reason, look at the top-right corner of your main PixInsight window.

Below the icons that control the overall PixInsight window, you should see four icons:
The first (looking like a 'minus' symbol, "-") is called "Iconise" in the Tooltip that appears if you hover over the icon.

The second looks like an upwards-pointing triangle, topped by a hprizontal line, and the ToolTip states that this is the "Shade" icon.

The third is a small square box, called "Normalize".

The fourth is a small black cross, "X", called "Close".

If you click the third icon, "Normalize", things should - hopefully - return to normal.
Cheers,
