Star Align registering on hot pixels

I'm trying to register my calibrated and cosmetically corrected lights, but the Star Align process keeps registering to residual hot pixels. I have to set Hot Pixel Removal to 2, noise reduction to 2, RANSAC tolerance to max, and this works most of the time. Has anyone else had this problem?

not usually, do you think the calibration/cc was correct? there really shouldn't be a huge # of hot pixels left after those two steps...
