SubframeSelector 1.11 no longer caches results?
« on: 2017 January 11 01:20:09 »
Since I upgraded to SubframeSelector 1.11 it doesn't seem to cache results of previous image analysis any longer.  I'm 90% sure this isn't user error :)  I have tried resetting PI and also deleting the cache from my PixInsight.conf file.  I also reproduced the problem by upgrading a second system which was caching results until I installed the recent upgrades.  Thanks for any assistance.  I guess I could USTL but I'm getting lazy in my old age and I know that someone with a clue like Mike Schuster can probably figure it out in a fraction of the time it would take me!

Thanks,
Rick.

I've noticed the same thing.

OK, thanks Mike.  I find the lack of cache a performance issue, so I might have a go at turning it back on  ;)

Hi!

How do I turn on the cache function again. I miss the cache function so bad.
I use the subframe selector during a photosession to confirm god pictures and compare every new frame to previous frames, at 20Mp and 30frames or more Subframe Selector takes for ever.

Best regards
Magnus

Magnus,

During your session, please consider running the new frame and only a couple of older frames for reference. This will avoid long run times and likely avoid or minimize loss of useful information.

Thanks, Mike
