Pattern in slope image- Linear fit combination
« on: 2016 September 21 06:33:30 »
Hi,
sometimes it happens that the slope image from the linear fit tool shows a pattern.

it is usually a sort of "grid".
I can post a picture if this helps.

Thanks a lot,
Andrea

Hi Andrea,

That's the aliasing of the resampling algorithm originated when aligning each subframe to the reference. It simply shows the areas where the aliasing effect is more pronounced, and it usually happens when there are small rotation angles. Any resampling method has aliasing, Lanczos being much better than any other algorithm in this aspect.

Best regards,
Vicent.
