Reinstalled PI 1.8.3 and now .xisf file type not recognized!

This is just bizarre.  I tried upgrading to 1.8.4 but for some reason my Win 7 computer hated it.  Uninstalled, then reinstalled my old 1.8.3.  Now, if I try to open an image file from any folder containing .xisf files they don't show up.  Tried dragging an .xisf directly to the PI screen and got the big red X saying file type not supported.  Since virtually all my files are .xisf I'm kind of panicked here.  Has anyone else heard of this?

Thanks Juan.  So this looks like it's being caused by my virus protection software.  Still haven't been able to work around it, but at least now I know the direction to go in.
