Creating a master dark library
« on: 2016 November 21 19:50:46 »
I had a cold snap come in this weekend and decided to take a number of darks to build a master darks library.  I have a couple of questions about how to create these masters from the subframes.
1) which process or script do I use to develop these masters if I am not using light frames at this time to use with Batch Preprocessing script?
2) can I use data from different nights if the temps are close?  Meaning can I add darks to get more data over time?

I did 20 images at 2 different ISOs for 90,120,150,180,240,300,360,600 and 900 seconds (although I didn't get the 900 second images completed before sunrise so will redo later this week).

Sorry, I have a million different things going on in life right now so have to start over every time I want to use Pixinsight so I may know this answer once you tell me the answer, but I am about as bad as you can get working my data.  Here is a perfect example of my problems from last year, picking the wrong colors and forgetting to flip my image since I was using an angled eyepiece.

This link shows you how to make any Master calibration frame.

Yes, you can use darks from different nights as long as the temp matches what you need.
