Drizzle question
« on: 2016 May 03 18:55:18 »
If you are processing LRGB data and want to drizzle, do all four channels need to be drizzled or could you just drizzle luminance and then align the color data later. This would be liked binning luminance at 1 and color at 2.

Thanks

I think you might run into a problem when you try and do a channel combine.  If the images combined don't have the same geometry I get a message that says they have incompatible geometries.  This happens if I crop an image and don't save the crop icon and then crop another image by a different amount (even a tiny difference).  The channel combine won't let me combine them.  Not sure if this will happen if you try and combine a drizzle Integrated image with a non-drizzle integrated image.

I have done it quite successfully as you describe (you obviously need to upsample the undrizzled frames prior to combining). Drizzling needs plenty of files and I rarely shoot as much RGB as I do L.
