Is there any reason NOT to convert RAW(.CR2) files to xsif before bias integration (not using batch debayer but I think it's called batch conversion?) I ask because when trying to integrate 300 bias frames my PC usually gets a hard lock-up when converting on the fly (not when converting the individual files but the final stage.) I tried it last night converting the files beforehand and it works much faster and was reliable. I'm still a relative newbie to AP and PI. I did notice memory usage was much lower doing it this way (I have 12GB of RAM and converting on the fly maxes it out well before completion.)
Thanks,
Greg
