I have discovered a bug in version 1.8.4.1185:

The MultiscaleLinearTransform and MultiscaleMedianTransform tools don't work correctly when executed multithreaded. This is a stupid error that will be fixed next Monday morning with an update. I can't understand how this error has gone unnoticed during tests. I apologize for that.

Workaround: Before running MLT or MMT, disable parallel execution. To do this you can enter the following command on the Process Console window:

parallel --disable

To re-enable parallel execution:

parallel --enable

Sorry for this nasty error. As I've said, it will be fixed next Monday morning with an update.

Juan, is the fixed version the one still dated Oct 8 on the distribution page?

It's a standard in-program update, not a full release like 1185. It's just an update to the MultiscaleProcessing module.

Mike, thanks.  I still get confused on the different updates.

I know what you mean. I do it the easy way when an update is mentioned, I open PI and if it tells me an update is available I look to see if that is the update that was mentioned. If it is great nothing more to do then update and restart the program. If no update happens within the program then I go to the distribution page and see if version numbers on the latest file is higher then the last one I downloaded. I always keep the last downloaded update so I can be sure and if something goes wrong I can revert back to the last version.
