Hi.

I recently got  an Acer v3-371, 8GByte, SSD etc. Am using Linux Mint 17.2 with KDE (nice enough base system), Qt 5.2.1 and PI 1.8.4.1171 x64. I have had occasional crashes whereby I try to double finger drag the touchpad (emulates mouse wheel). I have suspected device driver, Qt version or other problems, but have generally worked around it OK. Haven't gotten to bottom of this one yet.

Tonight, I've upgraded the kernel (to 3.19.3) to fix some wireless issues. Now I'm having some strange problems.
If I do an open recent on a particular file, PI crashes. It actually core dumps, and I have a core in case that helps.

The odd thing is, I can open the same file (File/Open/ navigate path to same file etc.) and it works fine and does not crash. I'll keep using this version for a while to see how stable in general it is, but this seems rather strange to me...

Any suggestions?

Are you aware that 1185 is released for Linux? I'd try that before looking deeper at 1171.

Perhaps even wait until Monday when Juan is supposed to release the multithread bug fix.

Ok, thanks.

In my haste to try to make sense of some odd behaviors, I had lost track of that (obviously important) aspect. ;-)
