No StarAlignment Output in View Mode
« on: 2015 August 01 15:27:45 »
Hi Juan, Sorry to trouble as I know you're busy. Perhaps this isn't new/incorrect behavior- In building a mosaic I'm using a 'View' reference image on the desktop, and all images to be aligned are also open and loaded to SA via View mode. The output images are being written to the desktop, but not to the output directory requested. I realize it's atypical to work this way with mosaics, but I'd expect output to be written to the requested folder none the less. I'm guessing this would work if using files loaded from disk via 'File' mode. Thanks!
Best always, Warren

Hi Warren,

This is normal behavior. Only target *files* generate output image files. Target views generate new image windows, and hence ignore the output directory, output extension, prefix, postfix and mask parameters. This is by design.

Thank you Juan. That's what I assumed. I'd nested all the masters within a project so it was convenient to work from Views. But since GMM only reads from file, at some point you'd have to save registered files out anyway. I was hoping I could use SA to do it. Could we enable GMM to work from View I wonder? Great mosaic tools however!
