Question about saving a project
« on: 2015 April 18 17:54:19 »
I am currently working on a mosaic image and have 15 images open on each of two workspaces (original images, registered images, mask images).  Only the 5 original images are saved to disk.

My question is, if I save the "project" will all those images be saved, or do I need to separately save all those images?  In other words, after I save the project, if I close PI and then open the project later, will all those images still be there?

The Save Project dialog lets you choose what you want to save, including images.  By default it will save and restore them.

Cheers,
Rick.

When you save a project ALL images (as well as many other things -- basically the whole state of the app) are saved in the project file and this is independent from any images that may have been saved prior to saving the project. In fact if you have saved an image prior to creating a project you can delete that file and the image will still be in the project.

Awesome.  That's what I figured but wanted to be sure before closing down PI.  Thanks for the replies.
