Get rid of reflection
« on: 2015 March 14 12:50:07 »
Hi,
I have a non-astronomical image wich however requires a demanding treatment, so I thought to use PixInsight. I took the image through a window and therefore I have a reflection on it. I tried to remove the pattern with a multiscale-median-transformation following a suggestion from Gerald but I had more success with a  fourier-transformation where I clone stamped away the horizontal pattern. However even if the pattern disappears (more or less) I still have a bluish veil. I tried to subtract the median of a small preview of the bluish veil from the entire image, but I'm not happy with the result. Can anyone suggest a cooking recipe?
You can download the tif-file (8MB) here: www.astrocusanus.org/wiedemair/reflex.tif.zip
Best regards

I can't offer any suggestions but I can say the picture looks very 3D.

I show you the rest of the image, so you understand, why I really would like to have the problem solved  ;)
