ImageIntegration - console info
« on: 2014 December 28 05:25:10 »
Hi,

I need your help - I dont understand the infos in the console by ImageIntegration.

Example

Reference Image:

Scale factors   :   1.00000
Zero offset     :  +0.000000e+000
Noise estimates :  4.3860e-004
Weight          :     1.00000

Image n1:
Scale factors   :   0.98546
Zero offset     :  -7.506262e-005
Noise estimates :  4.4090e-004
Weight          :     1.01902

Image n2:

Scale factors   :   0.98720
Zero offset     :  -1.086849e-004
Noise estimates :  4.4150e-004
Weight          :     1.01267

Q1:
What means Scale factors - is it the multiplier for the stacking?

Q2:
What is the Zero offset?
More or less light in the image, factor for transparency, ...

Q3:
Noise estimtes - assumption: the higher the number, the higher the noise of the singel image.
In the example, the Referenz Image has a lower Noise as Image n1 (4.3860e-004 < 4.4090e-004).
Nevertheless, the Scale factor and the Weight is higher in image n1 as in the Referenz Image.

Q4:
Weight - is it the multiplier for a single image in the integration process?
If yes - why is  the weight in Image n2 higher as in the Reference Image, even though the noise is higher in compare to the Reference Image.

I cant find infos to this questions in the documentation (the factors are listed, but there are no practical infos).
The answers to my questions probably anywhere in the forum threads - but I cant find it.

Any support is welcome.

Best regards.
Herbert, Austria
