Problem using SHO Script
« on: 2014 December 08 21:38:13 »
Hi, filling in time while the weather is not so good here, by trying my hand at Narrowband processing, using some good Hubble data.

I've managed to use Pixelmath to combine Ha, OIII and S2 data, but it's fairly laborious in pixelmath to get the balance right.

I've tried using the SHO script in Multichannel Synthesis section, but when I allocate the 3 images to the 3 types, then click OK, the MIXSHO is totally black and nothing seems to be produced. Is there a bug in this or am I doing something wrong/missing a step?

Thanks

Simon

You need to check the boxes for auto stf. It's a representation only. Also you'll need to select new image each time or you'll overwrite the the one you just did. Personally I found better results by transferring and a STF stretched image in all 3 channels. Warren Keller has an extensive tutorial on this in his PI series 3 on narrowband which I helped him test different procedures since there's not a lot of documentation.

Thanks. I checked the STF boxes and still no change, the operation doesn't appear to run at all. Are there any other areas that options need to be selected? I just tested with 2 ha and S2 files already stretched.

Thanks so much, after reviewing, I realised I had to hit the 'Mixing' buttons to get it all to work!
