Toolbar customization
« on: 2015 January 07 10:09:53 »
I apologize if this has been discussed before, anyway I couldn't find anything by searching.

Currently I have switched on most of the toolbars, but I don't ever use many of the icons. The toolbars consume real estate on the Screen and I would like to reduce them. Is there a way to customize them? I mean is it possible to drop not needed icons from toolbars?

Thanks
Tahir

Tahir,

I am not aware of a way to drop icons within toolbars, but you can drop toolbars with tools that you only rarely use.  I only keep open the image set with the back/forward arrows, the preview set, the mask set, and the STF set on the top, then put the zoom/shrink set over on the left side.  Keep the workspace nice and clear.  I have attached a screenshot of my setup.

Hope it helps.

Jim

Really, are clear skies, low wind and no moon that much to ask for?

Just right click on a toolbar, and check/uncheck which set you want. To minimize even more, you can drag border line between icon sets.

Thanks Jim and Zocky. I was already suspecting that it isn't possible...

I knew that I can switch off toolbars, but this isn't what I want. Just to give an example: The "Preview" toolbar has icons for new preview, modify preview, clone preview, show preview, next view,... it keeps going on. I never use any of the icons except new preview and modify preview. The rest just consumes space with the effect of moving in other toolbars important icons into the ">>" menu. I could use a second or a third row for toolbars to make all icons visible, but this cuts into my workspace which I can't spare.
