Installing on Linux Ubuntu

I've enjoyed trouble-free installation on Window's platforms, but when installing on Linux Ubuntu 14.04, I hit a snag.  The installer does not execute.  Suggestions?

It worked perfectly for me on Ubuntu 12.04 and 14.04
