IC 410 NB : HA S2 O3
« on: 2014 August 19 20:32:00 »
This image was calibrated with the batch script. I wasn't sure it would succeed since some of the images were different rotation angles due to meridian flips, and hence so were the flats. I guess PI figures that out. I used pixel math R= .5HA+.5S2 G=0.15HA+0.85O3 B=O3 for the RGB combo. I had to experiment with color calibration and finally used the whole image for white reference with structure detection unchecked. Curves transformation to fine tune the saturation. A lot of the workflow was from the Light Vortex example.
Edge HD 11 with .7 reducer; Apogee U16 Astrodon 5nm HA 3nmO3 & 5nm S2; no RGB stars as of yet. 30 minute subs (16 each)

Oh...that is so fantastic..
I would certainly beg for some more info on your workflow.....and should u decide to share this data..I think grateful would be an understatement.
I love the way u handled the little color nuances and variations and if I may suggest...u have such good data that removing noise reduction might even improve the image aesthetically.

Hi Dimitris

Most of the workflow can be found here:    http://lightvortexastronomy.blogspot.com/2013/02/tutorial-nebulae-pixinsight-workflow.html

I experimented a lot with his steps.
