Differential photometry script issues
« on: 2014 May 13 10:55:35 »
Hi,
I am evaluating PixInsight and so far like it a lot. One of the main things that interested me is the Aperture and Differential Photometry. I am coming from MaximDL and so far I find the PixInsight interface suites me well.

After some experimentation and reading, I could get the Aperture Photometry script to work and produce the data I need. I am impressed by its features. However, the differential Photometry script seems to me "broken". The first page of the script asks for a directory. I assume it is the directory where the data (.csv?) from Aperture Photometry on the images is dumped. I have not been able to use it.....no matter what directory I chose for the data, it always shows some placeholder objects. Also since there is no documentation, I need some help.

Has anyone used the Differential Photometry script successfully? I'd appreciate any help.

My apologies, the script DifferentialPhotometry is not working. It is only a boilerplate of some ideas about the design of the user interface. It should not be in the published version. I don't know when I will be able to finish it.

Andres, thanks for responding.
I would like to thank you for the script. It's good to know that I was not doing something completely wrong. I eagerly wait for this script to be fully functional.
