Just last night I caught some of M78 using Ivo's APT software for the first time.
I noticed that the images taken last night with APT had reversed East and West edges from those taken a few nights ago with Images Plus (my longtime capture software). So there appear to be two issues:
1. Flats, Darks and Bias (taken in Images Plus) need to be properly aligned with the Lights taken in APT.
2. Calibrated Lights from APT will need reorientation to properly align with the C-Lights from previous M78s from Images Plus.
It looks like the fix for both issues is to use the Image/Geometry/Horizontal-Mirror on each of the APT images as they are brought into PI.
Any thoughts on this being a sound approach and/or alternatives?
Thanks,
Mark
