What's up with Pixinsight Magazine?
« on: 2014 February 06 07:02:00 »
When you first logon to the Pixinsight website the right-side column of links lists Pixinsight Magazine just underneath the link to this forum.  If you access the PI Magazine link you get the November 2011 issue.  No other issues, past, present, (or future) are listed.  So my queston is:

Is PI Magazine defunct, having only the one issue of oever 2 years ago?  If not, where is the access to other issues?

Thanks for the quick response.  So, as I feared, it is a dead project.  Died because of the economic resources required and a lack of a revenue stream to produce those resources.  The fate of very many start-up magazines.  More is the pity...

But since it is a dead project, wouldn't it make sense to remove the link to it?  If it were ever ressurected the link would be easy to re-establish.  Foolish questions like mine could then be avoided.

I also would say that the time required to produce it was also very precious for another tasks.
It is there mostly because Juan have not had the time to make a new tutorial on PCL programming, so right now the article in the magazine is the best source for new programmers to learn the basics.

Thanks, Carlos.  That does indeed make sense.
