Pix 1.8 1087
« on: 2014 February 03 18:55:21 »
Hi Juan,

In version 1087 I am having an error on image integration. The images were calibrated with BPP. See PixInsight 1.8 in the video

The same set of image works fine in 1083. See PixInsight 1.8 (255) in the video

It is in endor: Forum Shared Files>Alejandro Tombolini> "Error1"

Let me know if you need the images.

Saludos.
Alejandro

Hi Alejandro,

I can't reproduce this problem on any platform. So, yes, I need the files and the instance of ImageIntegration :)

Hi Alejandro,

Thank you for uploading the images. I can't reproduce this problem on any platform (including Fedora 16/18 Linux and FreeBSD) with your files and your ImageIntegration instance. The images can be integrated without problems. So I don't know what's happening here. Something unusual in your machine or Linux installation?

Hi Juan,

No things different more than the typical linux instalation updates.

I download it again and I can confirm that any image to be integrated give the same error. Just the preference icon in Image Integration tool gives the crash. See a new video in endor.

I am opening Pix from the bin folder by double click in PixInsight.sh and running Image Integration previously to any change, even the updates.

However, if I use slot #2 it works, so I seems that there should be something to be reset in slot#1, but I do not know how to do that, and i have already re-instaled PixInsight.

In the mean time the workaround solve the problem but if you have any idea to reset slot #1 would be great. :)

Saludos,
Alejandro.

Start the program with the Ctrl key pressed down. A new window should pop, asking to reset the preferences.

Re: Pix 1.8 1087 - SOLVED
Thank you Carlos  :) :) :)

Some magic commands in linux console solved the problem:

First go to the bin folder, in my case:

alejandro@alejandro-desktop:~/PixInsight/PixInsight181_1087/PixInsight/bin$

Second uninstall mode:

alejandro@alejandro-desktop:~/PixInsight/PixInsight181_1087/PixInsight/bin$ ./PixInsight.sh --uninstall

Third press "Enter" while pressing "Ctrl"

Finally confirm the warning "Yes" and "OK"

Saludos, Alejandro.
