Ok, this one seems loading fine.  Working images, icons, tool instances. History is intact.
Depending on my memory, I'm not sure what hidden tool interface are missing, but it seems all there.

Great! Now I have a relatively reduced set of tools to find one that has some problem, probably a wrongly typed parameter. I have to check them and run some tests. No more tries for now

At least you've recovered your project. Again sorry for the trouble, and thank you for your help. I hope to have this fixed for the 1.8.0 release.

Out of curiosity, what interface prevented the project from being loaded?

I'm uploading the whole project now to the Dropbox, it's 1.8 GB , do you find it useful to have it?

This is just to inform you that this problem is now fixed in the final 1.8.0 version. It was a small bug in one of the standard modules, and has been somewhat hard to find. Finally, I managed to reproduce it consistently thanks to the project data that you uploaded. Thank you so much for your help.
