BPP ImageIntegration(?) error since update
« on: 2013 July 14 15:40:30 »
Just recently noticed there was an update to II along with some other stuff.  I updated.

Now when I run BPP, I get the error on attached screenshot.  I've also attached some of the BPP settings.

Not sure if this is something to do with the update or if I'm doing something silly.  If I do a manual II it does work.  Problem only seems to occur with BPP.

From the screenshot you have posted, two images couldn't be registered with StarAlignment. This is very strange. The only reason I can figure out is that these images are mirrored (the new version of SA does not support mirror transformations with its default parameters), but this is weird for a preprocessing task. Does this make sense?

Doesn't make sense to me.  The images were all taken on the same night, same target, same exposure.  There wasn't even a meridian flip.  I'll go back and check them individually.

I checked and all the images appear to be consistent.  And as I mentioned, they do integrate with the ImageIntegration process, just not with the BPP one.

You're not the only one having issues. Something has happened with mine ever since the update too.
I can't even stack images that I was able to stack prior to the update, images that I KNOW are good.
I know they're good because they stacked before update with no issues.

I've attached a screen capture of the error and 2 of the images I'm trying to stack, shown with STF applied only.
I use the settings in BPP as set out by Warren in his PI videos. It has worked flawlessly for me until the update.

I'm running a Macbook Pro, 64bit, OSX 10.8.3 with PixInsight Standard Edition
Version 01.08.00.1015 Ripley (x64) RC7 installed.

I've been doing a little more investigating and it looks to me that the image I select as the reference image is not getting calibrated properly for some reason.
It's pretty hard to find matching star pairs with all the bad pixels in there!

Troy(?), try checking your images in the "calibrated" folder to see if your reference image is not being calibrated either.
