Great news for those of us using OSC/DSLR cameras! I trust it will make a significant difference. I am always uncomfortable with the heavy manipulation of data that takes place during debayering interpolation, at a stage where SNR is still low. And the fact that debayering algorithms are designed/optimized for single-shot images, with no consideration for the case of stacking slightly dithered subexposures.
