Corrupted Cache Data
« on: 2012 July 27 12:19:17 »
Hi,
I was using Pixinsight to do some image integration and suddently I got this message.
Filedatacache@ load():corrupted data cache
I have no idea what went wrong and now I cannot use the image integration function.
Can anyone help me as I have no idea how to resolve this problem.
Many thanks for your help.
Vince

You can probably try clearing the cache.  Open the ImageIntegration tool then click the preferences button on the bottom right.  In that dialog click the clear cache button and see if that helps.

Hi,
many thanks for getting back to me but when I click the preference button I get the same message.
Filedatacache@ load():corrupted data cache
I don't get the dialog with the clear cache option.

Sorry to resume an old thread, but the same thing just happened to me with RC7 and I too cannot access the preferences window.
How can I manually clean the cache?

Soved it myself.
For future reference, I deleted every line mentioning the words "ImageIntegration" and "Cache" (without the quotes) in the PixInsight configuration file, which on linux is located in ~/.PixInsight.
It's quite possible I've deleted some directories that PI was expecting to find, and replaced it with identically named images later.
