CosmeticCorrection doesn't remove very hot pixels?
« on: 2013 April 29 03:00:00 »
Hi all,
in the attached image I wanted to show you a strange problem I'm experiencing with CosmeticCorrection.
The two images are the "before correction" on the left, and "after correction" on the right.
I have green circled the correctly removed hot pixels, obviously in the left image. I have then red circled some remaining hot pixels that seems to never get removed, no matter what I do. I'm using the Auto detect function within CC.
The strange thing is, the remaining hot pixel are much more "hotter", ie brighter, than the others.
What could be wrong here?

They look like bayered images. If so have you got the CFA option ticked in the output section of the process tool?

Of course you're right, my good sir!
If I may point out a thing, dough, the CFA option, being in the Output section of CC, made it look like it was actually doing something to the outputted image...
