Image Calibration
« on: 2013 April 28 11:41:02 »
When I try to calibrate I am getting an error message that says "warning, no correlation between master dark and master flat" and it does not use my flat frames. They are the same exact size. Can someone please tell me what I need to do to get this right?

Thanks

Albert

Are you trying to substract darks to the flats?

Thanks Carlos. I am using the Batch Preprocessing script. I just filled everything out the way the tutorial explains and when I try diagnose it says warning no flats. So I did it manually and got the warning I explained in my first post.

No correlation warnings usually are related to the dark scalation routine. So, if you are trying to substract darks to your flats, and they differ a lot in time, there might be a problem. I would just use the bias on them.
What you say about the warning in BP, could be related to wrongly detected files (are you adding them specifically to the flats section or using the fit keywords?).

Carlos they are very different in time. My darks are 600 seconds and the flats are only 1.5 seconds. Also I added the flats only to the flats section. Actually, I took out the master flat and added the individual files. It seemed to work, however the end result still showed dust donuts. When I process them in Maxim the donuts do not appear. Strange.
