Save As JPEG, PNG's issue

I have started using Ripley 1.8 and found when you apply a permanent stretch to a FIT's image using histogram transformation and then save it out as a JPEG the resultant file maybe has a size of 50k  tried other file types including PNG (that too has a reduced image size) a TIFF file is a bit fatter at 32Mb but the stretch has not been applied . Anyone seen the problem or could verify Please

Hi Trev,
The only explanation that comes to my mind is that you do not applied a permanent stretch, may be was active the STF. It is the only way that a .fit could pass to a .jpg of 50k...
