New Preview & resizing in RC4
« on: 2013 March 21 11:11:10 »
Hi All,

Just wondering why I cannot press alt / n (I'm on a Mac) to drag a new preview on to open images in RC4. It appears you have to use the "new preview" tool and enter in numbers the size & position of your preview, and cannot drag the preview box around to suit size & position.

Thanks

On my Windows 7 64, I always get the correct New Preview when using Alt N but the New Preview button mainly gives that dialog box but sometimes gives the proper (like prevously) New Preview cursor.

Hello,

Yes I too can't use ALT N on a MacBook to generate a preview also.
Again it comes up with a box for numerical entry.

Try the following:

First hit left alt + left cmd + N
Then try again left alt + N

On my macbook with 10.7.5 and PI 1.8RC4 I can then generate and drag a new preview with the mouse.

It does not work without the strange alt + cmd N combo before(?!)

Yes this trick works, what an odd bug to have though!! Hope it gets fixed in due course, but it isn't so important now there is a work around for it.

Indeed this works, but until I did find out a couple of grey hairs grew...
What about cropping, while cropping an image the selected area simply disappears and you'll have to restart the module..
Somebody encountered this already?
