HistogramTransformation Stopped Tracking Views
« on: 2013 August 11 13:17:44 »
I was processing LRGB images, mostly in a linear state and everything was working perfectly. Then I did a masked stretch to an RGB image with default settings and the HST tool would not track the view. I opened and closed the HST tool, tried transferring a screen stretch from STF and nothing would work. I simply could not see anything in the windows.

I opened a real-time preview and I could see the image but movement of the blackpoint or midetones sliders changed nothing.

I finally closed PI and reopened it and voila, everything started working correctly again.

Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) SP1

PixInsight Core 01.08.00.1023 RC7 Ripley (x64)

* Parallel processing enabled: Using 12 logical processors.
* Thread CPU affinity control enabled.
* PSM AutoSave enabled. Auto-save period: 30 seconds.

Is there any other information that you need?

Have you seen this behavior again? Could be something related to the MaskedStretch script, but I cannot reproduce it.

Strange errors of this kind happen from time to time on all platforms, without an apparent reason. Sometimes they are hardware-related, sometimes they are interactions with background processes, but tracking them is nearly impossible. If you don't confirm that this is repeatable, let's assume it was "one of those strange things"...
