HDRComposition on M42
« on: 2013 February 10 23:42:31 »
I am trying to use HDRComposition following Harry Page's tutorial. The data is 40 x 60sec and 40 x 15sec from a Celestron C8 with a 0.63 reducer. I use a binarizing threshold of 0.21 and mask smoothness of 7 (I've tried 2 to 25). Applying HDRComposition to the two files seems to produces the opposite effect I am looking for i.e, reduction of the over exposure in the core. Am I doing something wrong or is there a better way of creating HDR images of M42?

I am still having issues with this tool even after all of the help.  Here is a link to my thread: http://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=4849.0

I still have the data, when I have more time I will process.  My issues are also, getting hardening noticeable transitions from the different exposures, no matter what blending I use.

Hi kkoppert,

would it be possible to make a try with your data?. If yes, please post it in Image Porecessing Challenges, and upload your data to endor o any other place and someone can make a try.

Saludos, Alejandro.
