I took a LRGB picture with my CCD camera and SIPS (camera control program G4moravia).  My problem is that I can't save the LRGB pictures properly as JPEG picture to send them in an email or whatever. The JPEG picture that I saved (even at 100%) looks horrifying, the details are
Maybe I have to transform them before I save them as JPEG I don't know.

I think you try to save in 8bits a 16/32 bits LINEAR image. So all low levels are removed, all your signal !
It is normal you get this.

You must "histogramTransform" your image (stretch the levels), then save your image

To do a quick transform, you apply a STF then drag the blue triangle of STF in the bottom bar of histogramTransform. Your image will be stretched like the STF

Cheers

Thank you for replying.

I tried it out, but first I didn't work with the new version of Pi1.8rc3. So I reinstalled the older version 1.7 win64 and tried it again, then your tip worked fine.
Then I reinstalled the Pi1.8 win 64 rc3 version once again and I could save properly my CCD FITS files as JPEG files.

But now I've got a new problem.
When I try to register the original FITS files. I recieve an error message which says that the files are wright protected.
I tried to free the files but after that it still didn't work.

So the problem is with the old version of PixInsight the saving and registering worked fine.
 system runs on win7 64bit
