Hello everyone, my first post after i started my trial time with PixInsight.
There is seems to be a real problem working with large amount of DSLR raw files.
I have a 3 Ghz Intel Quad Core x64 bit Win 7 system with 8 Gb of RAM and got memory outrun and crash.
I have for testing 30 Bias, Darks, Flats and Lights, all are CR2 raw file from my Modded Canon T3i.
Have read all the helpful information around here and started to try it out.
I open PI 1.8 and open Image Integration Module. Select my 30 Bias frames, input recommended settings and let it run. During this process i can see how slowly my RAM got eaten by the process and around 24 or some files it used all of the 8 Gb and system crash. I tried all possible Buffer Size and Stack size settings, no help, still crash.
What is interesting, is that the batch Preprocess Script runs fine, it only happens when i go manually through the Integration steps.
Now i decided to convert from RAW to FITs and see if i have same problem. In the Format Explorer i also set recommended setting to work with DSLR_RAW files. The Batch Conversion Script causing the FITs being empty? and not usable in any further process.
I switched to 1.7 version where the DSLR_RAW to FITs conversion seems working ok, but the Memory Outrun crash still persists. Batch Preprocess script runs fine. (with horrible results of course).
Any ideas?

It seems, that when i upgraded my RAM to 8 GB some time ago, i forgot to change the size of my page file. Since I'm always set he's size manually , it was not enough for new 8GB.
So when all RAM got eaten PC starts to write to the page file, when that guy run out, all crashed.
Increased the page file size to a recommended size, rebooted and were able to Integrate a bunch of 50 Bias files.
