Free BSD PixInsight - anyone using?
« on: 2012 December 28 11:12:32 »
I can't get past this error when I try to start the Free-BSD version (from an X window terminal):
Quote
bash-3.2$ bin/PixInsight.sh
bin/PixInsight.sh: line 9: /Users/rob/PixInsight/bin/PixInsight: cannot execute binary file
Apparently, the sh script does not set up correctly. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Which PixInsight version are you using? 1.7 runs fine on PC-BSD 9.0.

Regards,
Vicent.

I'm trying to run Version 1.7 Starbuck, just downloaded from the distribution center. I'm on a Mac running OS 10.8.2 (Mountain Lion).

Well, that would be your problem right there. :-) You should download the MacOS version. MacOS is only tenuously related to FreeBSD.

I am running the MacOS version too, of course. No particular problems with it, except that keyboard shortcuts may or may not work at any given time. Just wanted to see a comparison. Must be the effect of 2 weeks of rain...
