Script compiler error
« on: 2012 October 04 11:29:20 »
Hi,

yesterday I started to write my first script. Finally with success, but I had to restart my system five or six times. My OS is Win7 on a 4 core, 8 GB Dell Precision 6600.

This problem was reported one year ago

and I'm curious to know, if there is a fix available now. If not, I'm afraid to continue working with my project as I can not always relaibly inspect the syntax rules. I think, this is the job of the compiler!

Regards

Hartmut

Hartmut,

Yes, this problem still occurs. Relaunch PI and check syntax carefully. I usually comment out newly written portions to help isolate the problem and double check for matching { } and ( ) with syntax highlighting.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

well, apparently this problem was never classified with high priority but one year later, such a problem should automatically raise its priority or will never disappear from the list.

Thanks for the answer

Hola Juan,

thank you.

Today I checked carefully the code before I started the script and could keep the system alive.
