Warning message from calibration
« on: 2012 July 08 06:46:29 »
Hi,
I'm getting a warning message from the calibration process when it is writing the output files.

"** Warning: No correlation between the master dark and target frames."

Would someone be able to tell me what this means?

Thanks.

Cheers,
Luke

Longer thread here: http://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=3783.msg25935#msg25935

Summary here:
"generally speaking, "no correlation between master dark and target frame" usually occurs when you are dealing with short subs and there is just not much dark signal there, either in the light or the dark. You'll probably find that you're getting this message on images taken with less than 60s exposures"

Hi Philip,
Both my master dark and subs are at 600 second exposure -25C.

I'm using a master bias master dark but no master light.

Interestingly, the warning does not occur on all subs, but yes for most.

The subject is M16 in narrow band. Lots of nebulosity.
Don't know if that means anything.

Thanks for the tip though.

Cheers,
Luke

Ok, perhaps this thread then: http://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=2803.0

Maybe a checkbox wasn't checked?
