PI 1.7 update removes all favorites I put in
« on: 2012 June 30 14:25:15 »
The last update removed all the modules I had in my favorites, the default favorites remained.

This has not been reported before, and I can't reproduce it on any platform. By 'last update', do you mean the latest module update (which corresponds to the FITS format support module) or the latest core application update?

A reset of PI settings erases any custom favorite process collection. Are you sure you didn't reset PI settings, for example by selecting Start > All Programs > PixInsight Platform > Reset PixInsight Settings ?

To be honest, I did not read what the updates were, I just saw something about new updates, it downloaded them, I exited the app, it installed them, I went back into the app to launch BatchPreprocessor and it was no longer in my favorites, then I notices nothing I had added to my favorites was there anymore.

Yes, I am sure I did not reset the settings the way you suggest, I am on Windows 7 and can not even remember the last time I clicked on Start > All Programs. Instead I hit the windows key and type PIX, the first result is PixInsight Core (x64) so I just hit the enter key.

I could certainly understand my ignorance if I deleted one of the items, but when I saw all of them gone I was relatively sure it wasnt something I clicked (although you never know).
