I have two questions. I use a QHY8 camera and Nebulosity 3 as a capture software, set to record subs as RAW images in ".fit" format. I'm using Windows 7.
#1 - When I load such an image into PixInsight v1.7 x86_64, it comes up mirror reversed. It is not simply "rotated;" I have to perform a "Image/Geometry/Vertical Mirror" operation before the view is correct. What parameter am I setting incorrectly to make this happen? (The image loads correctly into Nebulosity 3, and these results are the same whether I use Nebulosity 3 or EZCap for capture.)
#2 - When I attempt to use the PixInsight Preprocessing Script on my QHY8 images, they refuse to load. I get this message:
=== 0 of 1 frames were added ===
Unable to determine frame type: C:/Users/Rich/Desktop/Astrophotography/Sagittarius/062012-Trifid-QHY8/Trifid_001.fit
As noted above, I can open the image in PI just fine (albeit mirror-reversed), but when I try to run the preprocessing script (Script/Batch Processing/Batch Preprocessing), I get the error message. Can someone help me with what I am doing incorrectly?
Thanks!
