HDRMT lightness mask def?
« on: 2012 June 04 21:02:09 »
I'm looking for how HDRMT's lightness mask is generated. Is it an AutoSTF of the image or something similar? I have been masking my HDRMT's sometimes and knowing what its mask looks like would be helpful.

Hi Mike,

The lightness mask is simply that, a lightness mask.  :D In other words, lightness is extracted and then it's loaded on the image, acting as a mask to modulate the HDRMT process. This way, HDRMT is stronger in the lighter areas.

Take into account that HDRMT must be applied only on non-linear images.

Vicent.
