Realtime preview
« on: 2012 April 11 15:22:22 »
Some processes such as the HistogramTransformation have a live preview. Is there a way to zoom in/out, 1:1, pan in that preview? Currently I apply the filter to the main view then toggle undo/redo back and forth while zoomed in.

G'day Marc!  Good to see another IIS member coming on board  :)

As far as I'm aware, you can't zoom.  Create one or more previews in the original image, then in the realtime preview (RTP) window there's a dropdown box.  Instead of viewing the full image, select the preview.

Previews are really handy.

I asked for 'integer zoom' for the RTP window a long time ago. I hope it gets implemented soon. I don't want resizing artifacts to influence process setting decisions.

Thanks mate. Works a treat. You can even move it around and resize it. Pretty neat.

What do you mean? The Quality drop down setup to Smooth? Maximum seeme to give 1:1 pixel size?

Quality setting indicates how much effort is spent making the preview look good. I'm not sure how it works. I simply want the RTP window to zoom in integers just like regular views do. 3:1, 2:1, 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 etc.

Got you. At the moment I suspect the pixels interpolation in the preview window is dictated by the size of the preview on the main view and also the size of the preview popup window. Although the sampling seems fixed in its display. So if you have a preview window big enough the square pixels grow proportionaly. Only if you reduce it past the pixel size will it start smoothing the view.
