PJSR: Syntax error cause PixInsight outofmemory and/or Windows 7 hnaging

Hello,

Edit a script in the script Editor,  create a function which is unbalanced (one more opening brace), execute via F9.

After a while you get a prompt OutOfMemory.  You better exit PI immediately.
Trying a second time wthout exiting PI hangs Windows 7/64 to the point that I have to power cycle it !!!

Yes, I am aware of this problem (it has been reported some time ago). It seems to be a bug in the JavaScript engine, and so far I haven't found a solution.

This bug should be fixed in version 1.8 of PixInsight. For now, just make sure that you don't leave any unmatched curly brackets in your scripts, and all will be fine. Sorry for the inconvenience.
