The 'disappearing RTP' problem is back
« on: 2012 February 29 17:26:47 »

Hi,

I'm working with curves, pressed the 'remove mask' button in the RTP window and then the entire preview disappeared. Can't get it back either.
Best,

Actually the RTP contents disappeared when I pressed the 'show transformed image' button and then clicked it again.

I brought the contents back by clicking 'Real-Time Preview' on the curves dialog.

Thanks Alejandro. I use W7 x64 as well. I doubt it's OS specific but you never know.

Hi,

It must be a Windows-specific problem because I can't reproduce it on Linux and Mac OS X. I'll investigate it when I have access to a Windows machine.

Well it doesn't -always- happen but of course it's possible it's a Windows issue.

If it happened on Linux and Mac OS X, we'd have detected it because we are using these OSs (especially Linux) all the time.

I'll make thorough tests on a physical Windows machine when I can. On a virtual machine this doesn't happen, not at least after half an hour of intense testing...

Yes but you are automatically assuming it's an OS issue rather than something specific I do that you don't :)

In any case, most of your users are on Windows. Perhaps it's time someone at Pleiades also makes it their primary platform. I know it's bordering on heresy but you don't want to alienate the majority of your customers by always making it sound like their OS (the most widely used in the World) is somehow not worthy of Pleiades.
