HDR Wavelet
« on: 2012 February 25 14:46:14 »
I see many tutorials on this but am not able to see this in my PixInsight.
I am using PixInsight 1.7 x86
Under what menu can I find it?

I do see HDR composition and HDR multiscale transform.

HDR Multiscale Transform looks similar. I have no idea why Juan wants to introduce confusion like that by renaming often used modules. You could search the forums if you're interested to find out more. Perhaps there's a justification somewhere.

Well, the biggest justification is that the current algorithm used to perform the HDR compression could be done through wavelet layers or by the multiscale median transformation. So, it is more correct to use a generic name instead of HDRWT.

Documentation is a scarce commodity. People who take the time to create videos are scarce.

Don't make that more difficult just for the sake of being 'more correct', please. You see the effect of it demonstrated in this thread. Maybe PI needs an alias type functionality in the process explorer.
