Hi!

I got my first telescope 3 years ago. Started with DSLR, unmodified, imaging 1 1/2 years ago. This is my first image with exposure time longer than 40 minutes.

Main processing steps :
Processing details : Stacked in DSS. DBE before composed by HDRComposition. Colorcalibration, Deconvolution, Noisereduction with ATrousWavletTransform, Stretched, HDRMultiscaleTransform, LocalHistogramEqualization, color boosted with mask on background. ...

Had due to almost no neautral background "big" problem with BNE and ColorCalibration, got tips from Harry that helped a lot. Least satisfied with saturated stars, could they easily be fixed ?

Setup and exposures :

Mount : Skywatcher EQ6
Telescope : Meade 102ED Triplet
Camera: Canon Eos60d, unmodifed
Guiding: 50mm finderscope, Meade DSI Pro II
Exposures : 10*10sec, 10*30sec, 20*240sec and 15*600sec.

I am a newbie so all tips/critics are welcome.

Hi and thank's for the comments.

Jules, sorry i did som changes on my dropbox so the old link was no longer valid. Here is a link to a new version, not sure if it is better but to improve one has to fail. The dropbox contains both a color and a grayscale version.

Erik

Its a lovely image, you have caught the detail where a lot of images I have seen have burnt the detail out in the Trapezium.

I like it, good luminosity and good colors. Only one question, next time you need to rotate the camera for get in the running man nebula!  ;)
