Process Explorer <Favorites>

Once you have created your favorites list for the Process Explorer how can you then "save" it so each time you open PixI it is the same.  I note when I have a crash I lose my customized Favorites.

Excellent suggestion. The next version will have new options for  "Save/Restore Favorite Process Collection". These options will be selectable from the Process Explorer window.

On a side note, what do you refer to with "crash" ? Is PixInsight crashing on your machine on a regular basis, or is it windoze?

Latest build 337 should not crash at all. If it does for you, please report it because we have to fix the problem ASAP.

I continue to see 1-2 crashes per session; however, I haven't narrowed it down enough to give you any data.  It seems to occur mostly after saving things (e.g. changed image files, process icons, etc.).  It is definitely more stable than the previous build.  Most of the crashes, Windows catches and asks if I want to send a report.  The "funny" thing about these crashes is PixInsight continues to work up to the point of clicking Ok to send the crash report to Microsoft.  I've tried to capture this data to send to you, but the files are always in use by Windows.   Unfortunately, once it sends the crash report, it deletes the files.  Do you know of a way to capture this data before Windows deletes it?

I just noticed you have fixed several bugs in the TIFF writing routine.  This is likely the cause of my problems too.  I noticed after each crash, the software description used to create the TIFF file only had a "P".

I'll let you know if I receive any more crashes after installing the new "file format support module" later Today.  I'll be editing images later Tonight.

Juan  Yes I do get occassional "Sorry But PixInsight Must Close" messages that then terminate the program.  Not sure I can tell you exactly what actions cause this but will try to pin it down in the future.  Jack

I think these crashes are certainly due to the TIFF writing problem. Hope they will be gone with the new format support modules.

I suspect you are correct as they usually occur when saving or right around there.
